Sustainability Festival with Clothing Swap and DIY Workshops at Hong Lim Park on July 13, 2024 – Mothership.SG

Singapore’s largest T-shirt swap will take place on July 13, 2024.

It is one of the many activities taking place during GreenParade: Wake Up and Swap, a ‘ground-up sustainability festival’ in Hong Lim Park from 4pm to 10pm.

This is the second edition of GreenParade, the first of which was held last year at Bedok Open Field.

GreenSpace+ organizes a large number of free activities for participants: clothing swaps, plant swaps and family-friendly workshops on sustainability.

Below you will find an overview of all the activities you can expect.

#WakeUpandSwap (4:00 PM to 7:30 PM)

Participants can bring their second-hand clothes to personalize with patches and designs, and swap them with others during the T-shirt swap.

During the Plant Exchange you can also share your plants with others to diversify your plant collection.

Enjoy an eco-conscious shopping experience with Vinyl Pasar’s curated vinyl playlists and funky upcycled vinyl art and take part in music quizzes to win vouchers.

Mono Foods, a sustainable food company focused on redistributing food products that are approaching their expiration date, also organizes tasting games and hands out free food to participants.

Free workshops on sustainability (4:00 PM – 7:30 PM)

Make sustainable entrepreneurship fun by testing your creativity.

Give your artistic talents free rein by participating in workshops on DIY patching, 3D plastic recycling and terrarium making.

You can also make your own acrylic keychains there.

There will also be a workshop where you can, among other things, grow your own food.

And the best part is: they’re all free.

Other highlights

From 4pm to 6:30pm there will be an open mic session with 13 speakers including City Sprouts co-founder Zac Toh, Cloop co-founder Jasmine Tuan and zero waste advocate Robin Rheaume.

There will also be special showcases and tastings at the festival, where you can learn more about upcycling fashion products or even enjoy fruit education and tastings.

Towards the end of the event, from 7pm to 10pm, there will also be live performances.
