IMPD: Suspect arrested after downtown shooting – Indianapolis News | Weather Indiana | Indiana traffic

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – One person was being held for questioning after a shooting Monday morning along the canal in downtown Indianapolis, police said.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to a shooting in the 600 block of Canal Walk just before 4:30 a.m. That’s just outside an apartment complex northwest of the intersection of Vermont Street and Indiana Avenue.

IMPD says the shooting victim was stable when transported to a hospital.

No other information was immediately available.
