Rosemary Brazeal obituary – GA

Rosemary Sylvia Brazeal (Sagittarius) Rosemary Sylvia Brazeal (Sagittarius) passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2009 in Eureka with her daughter by her side. Rosie was 76 years old.

Rosie was born April 2, 1932 in Woodland. Her parents, Elwood Josiah Archer and Margaret Rebecca Cranston, had five children. Rosie sat next to the youngest child. She was a fun-loving person who had a wonderful life growing up in Woodland.

After graduating from Woodland High School, she married her high school sweetheart, Forbes Grimstad. From that marriage, Deborah Grimstad was born in 1953. Rosie worked in the banking industry for many years and lived primarily in the California Valley. Rosie returned to live in Woodland, married Dale Brazeal and worked for Yolo County Social Services, where she retired after serving for more than 25 years. She volunteered at both Woodland Memorial Hospital and the Senior Center until her health would not allow it.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Charles and Deborah Bussman, who live in Bayside; and two grandchildren, Nicholas Abrahamsen who lives in Auburn, and Kathleen Abrahamsen who now lives in Charlotte, NC. Also surviving are her sister and brother-in-law, Margery and Frank Hildebrand of Woodland; and brother and sister-in-law, Jaery and Bonnie Archer of El Dorado Hills. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Brazeal of Woodland; son-in-law, Jeff Abrahamsen of Santa Rosa; brother, Thomas Archer of Woodland; and sister, Phyllis Smith of Sacramento. Rosie will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
