Fresh food and more at the North End Farmers Market

Mansfield’s North End Farmers Market opens for the season on Thursday. Hosted by the North End Community Improvement Collaborative (NECIC) at the NECIC Urban Farm, 311 Bowman St., it runs every Thursday from 4pm to 7pm, rain or shine, through September 26.

The market features local farmers, artisans and food trucks offering fresh produce, meats, homemade treats, garden plants, flowers and a variety of unique local goods.

The market is open to visitors of all incomes and accepts cash, credit cards, SNAP, Senior SNAP and WIC. Additionally, the marketplace will match EBT purchases up to $25, making it easier for everyone to access fresh, healthy food.

Throughout the season, the market will feature a variety of activities including food trucks, live music, cooking demonstrations, children’s activities, senior activities, local art exhibits and more.

Suppliers include: Banzhaf Garten Organic Farm; Brokaw’s Farm and Market; The Corn Man; Green Patch Garden; Hazel’s Homemade Products; High desert vegetables; Paynter Family Organic Farm; Pride Family LLC; Relax It’s just coffee and Wild Shiloh Farm; Richland Gro-Op; Third cup of tea; Wild Things Forest; Blingbling with Wendy; Lapura soap; Mansfield Nutrition; Willow Zero Waste and garden petals and plants.

Other guests include: Buckeye Imagination Museum; Art element; Head Start; Mansfield-Richland County Public Library Bookmobile; NCSC Child Development Center; Red Cross; Alzheimer’s Association; and Richland Public Health.
