Illegal Immigrant Arrested in Virginia, Accused of Kidnapping Louisiana Girl | The post-millennial

An illegal immigrant has been arrested and charged after allegedly kidnapping and assaulting an underage woman in Virginia. Police say the suspect held the victim against her will in the back of his car prior to the arrest.

Around 4 a.m. Wednesday, police responded to a call at a Love truck stop in Covington, Virginia, according to a news release from the Alleghany County Sheriff’s Office. The call came from an underage Spanish woman asking for help.

Officers arrived on scene and found a dark gray four-door sedan with Arkansas registration in the parking lot. Along with an adult man, identified as Diego Soch Castro, and a young woman identified as the complainant. During their investigation, officers determined that the woman was from Louisiana and was being held captive in the vehicle by Castro against her will,” the statement said.

Castro was taken into custody and then transported to the Alleghany County Regional Jail. He was subsequently charged with kidnapping, taking indecent liberties with a minor, and assault and battery. An ICE detainer was also placed on Castro. The minor female was then taken to Lewis Gale Alleghany Hospital for evaluation and later released to Child Protective Services.

The investigation into the crimes is ongoing by law enforcement in Virginia. The crime stems from the ongoing border crisis resulting from President Joe Biden’s soft border security policies. Since February 2024, the US has recorded more than seven million illegal immigrants entering the country, not including unregistered immigrants. This also does not take into account the ‘escapees’ who have evaded border patrol and other authorities.
