Procopio’s Life Sciences practice has two new leaders with decades of experience serving industrial clients with intellectual property and corporate law services. Award-winning attorneys Xiaofan “Frank” Yang and Helen Goldstein take over the leadership of a growing practice with an extensive range of clients. Frank is a Ph.D. chemist who provides comprehensive strategic IP consulting to public and private biotechnology, pharmaceutical, digital healthcare and medical device companies. Helen represents life sciences and other industry clients on a variety of corporate law matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, technology transactions and licensing, and commercial contracts.

Frank also has experience conducting due diligence on complex corporate financings, public offerings, partner/licensing transactions and mergers and acquisitions. He has a global client base, including companies and investors in the US, Europe and Asia. After receiving his BS in polymer chemistry and Ph.D. in organic synthesis, Frank worked as a medicinal chemist in the pharmaceutical industry for over four years before becoming a patent practitioner in 2006.
